HONOLULU – Today, The Queen’s Health Systems marked a milestone as Honolulu resident Rosalie Escalante was the recipient of the 300,000th COVID-19 vaccine dose administered across Queen’s. Escalante visited the vaccination clinic this afternoon at the Blaisdell to receive a booster dose.
Queen’s has been providing vaccinations through its vaccination sites at the Blaisdell, The Queen’s Medical Center-Punchbowl, The Queen’s Medical Center-West Oahu, Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital, Molokai General Hospital, and its mobile clinics. In addition, Queen’s has been making vaccinations available in its inpatient units and outpatient clinics such as at its Physicians Office Buildings clinics and Queen Emma Clinics. Queen’s has also administered vaccinations through home visits in an effort to make vaccinations as accessible as possible.
Queen’s also reached a milestone yesterday in crossing the 10,000th dose administered through its mobile clinics. Since March 2021, Queen’s has completed nearly 200 mobile clinics with nearly 50 additional clinics planned over the next several months. Through its mobile outreach efforts, Queen’s is extremely appreciative of its partnership with dozens of organizations such as the Department of Health, Project Vision Hawaii, We Are Oceania, and the Honolulu Fire Department. Additionally, Queen’s has worked with various community groups such as Papa Ola Lokahi, NHPI Hawaii COVID-19 3R Coalition, and the Department of Hawaiian Homelands, representing Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and other underrepresented populations, schools, businesses, and communities.
“We are proud to play an important role in vaccinating our community through a variety of ways aimed at making vaccinations accessible to all,” said Jill Hoggard Green, PhD, RN, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Queen’s Health Systems. “Every vaccination counts and we appreciate the community coming together to keep our community safe. I also want to thank the many staff who have been working extremely hard on our vaccination efforts for the last 10 months. It has truly been a monumental effort.”
