The Queen’s Health Systems Acquires Orthopedic Associates of Hawaii, LLP

The Queen’s Health Systems is pleased to announce it is adding seven physicians who specialize in orthopedic surgery to its network of care, starting December 8, 2023.

The following have signed agreements to join the Queen’s ‘ohana:

  • Anthony M. Barcia, MD, Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine
  • Jeffery K. Harpstrite, MD, Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Joint Reconstruction, Arthroscopic Surgery
  • Christian K. Kikuchi, MD, Orthopedic Surgery, Foot and Ankle Reconstruction
  • Christopher A.K.L. Lau, MD, Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Advanced Arthroscopy, Joint Replacement
  • Daniel P. Lim, MD, Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine
  • Andrew B. Richardson, MD, Orthopedic Surgery, Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction

The physicians will be part of Queen’s University Medical Group (QUMG) as Queen’s Orthopedic Associates, formerly Orthopedic Associates of Hawaii, LLP. QUMG is a prestigious group of more than 700 providers representing 17 specialties and subspecialties of care.

This acquisition helps grow our orthopedics department allowing Queen’s to be able to cover all aspects of a patient’s orthopedic needs with a complete team of physicians who have all aligned under the Queen’s umbrella.

“As orthopedic surgeons, these seven physicians already had a well-established relationship with The Queen’s Medical Center,” said Dr. Rick Bruno, President of Queen’s University Medical Group and President of The Queen’s Medical Center. “By joining QUMG, the group will continue to provide the highest quality of Orthopedic care to the people of Hawaii and help further grow the Queen’s Orthopedic program across the Health System.”
