The Queen’s Orthopedic Spine Center is proud to to offer Hawaii’s first endoscopic spine surgery program. Endoscopic spine surgery is an innovative, minimally invasive surgical option that can be used for a variety of spine problems.
Endoscopic spine surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that utilizes mini incisions, a small camera, and cutting-edge endoscopic equipment to visualize and address various conditions in the spine.
Traditional spine surgery involves large incisions that can damage the surrounding muscles in the back. This can result in problems such as postoperative pain and prolonged recovery time.
In contrast, endoscopic spine surgery involves placing a camera and special endoscopic instruments through small skin incisions. This allows for superior visualization of the important structures in the spine and minimal damage to the muscles around the spine.
