We are pleased to announce that Queen’s Heart has welcomed Dr. Peter Tsai, Cardiothoracic Surgeon.
Dr. Tsai completed his undergraduate studies in Marine Biology and Biochemistry, along with his master’s degree in Endocrinology, at University of California, Berkeley, before attending medical school at University of Southern California (USC). After completion of his general surgery training at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles, he went on to train in thoracic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine Texas Heart Institute, where he stayed as tenured faculty rising to the rank of Associate Professor of Surgery.
He is currently a Professor of Surgery at University of Hawaii, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Cardiology and College of Chest Physicians.
As a member of Queen’s Heart’s Cardiothoracic Surgery program, Dr. Tsai will provide the following services:
- Aortic Repair/Replacement
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
- Esophagectomy
- Lobectomy
- Mediastinoscopy/Bronchoscopy
- Mitral/Aortic/Tricuspid Valve Replacement and Repairs
- Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)
- Thoracotomy
Dr. Tsai believes strongly in an integrated cardiology-cardiac surgery service line, to provide open, minimally-invasive and endovascular treatment options for structural heart, coronary, arrhythmia and aortic diseases.
