HONOLULU – The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS) has named Roy Murai Vice President of Investments.
Murai joined QHS as Director of Investments in December 2014 and has been integral to the management of Queen’s Endowment and Pension Plan. Prior to joining QHS, Murai held leadership positions in finance and asset management.
In his expanded role, Murai reports to QHS Executive Vice President of Endowment and Chief Investment Officer Eric Martinson, with primary responsibility for managing QHS’ diversified financial asset portfolio. Together with Queen Emma Land Company’s significant real estate portfolio, QHS’ Endowment is focused on building long-term value and enhancing income generation to support QHS’ mission and health care initiatives.
Born and raised in Kohala, Hawai‘i, Murai is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration with a focus on health care management from the Shidler College of Business.
Outside of work, Murai serves on the Board of the Historic Hawai‘i Foundation and resides in Honolulu with his wife and two children.
