Urology Services utilizes two specialty operating rooms for minimally invasive urologic surgery as well as routine minor urologic surgery. All procedures are scheduled by your urologist’s office prior to your procedure.
The Queen’s Medical Center Kidney Stone Center was founded in 1986 to provide lithotripsy services for the treatment and removal of kidney stones. We serve patients from Hawaii and throughout the Pacific Basin.
The staff of Urology Services and Kidney Stone Center consists of registered nurses and special procedure technologists. The team works hand in hand with urologists using specialized urologic surgical instruments and equipment in the operating rooms.
Urology Services at The Queen’s Medical Center provides active operating rooms for referring Urologists. Our physicians perform a range of urologic and minimally invasive surgeries, most of which are outpatient procedures. 99% of patients return home on the same day of surgery.
Queen’s Kidney Stone Center was founded to provide extracorporeal lithotripsy services to treat and help in the removal of kidney stones for the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Basin. Since our inception in 1986, we have served over 5,000 patients with various kinds of kidney stones. All staff members are specially trained in the care of kidney stone patients and use of the lithotriptor.
