The Queen’s Pain and Spine center is a multi-specialty medical facility that improves function and ability by treating pain and spinal dysfunction. Care is personalized to you and is managed by interventional pain management specialists and orthopedic spine surgeons using proven treatments and best practices in evidence based medicine.
The core objective of our care is to improve well-being through selection of interventions that help improve pain and spine symptoms while avoiding addictive opioid medications that can worsen quality of life.
The Queen’s Pain and Spine center is comprised of two departments serving multiple locations across the island of Oahu.
Queen’s Pain Management provides all of the contemporary interventions to manage pain. Through these specific interventions, pain is targeted at the site of origin. This specificity improves outcomes and reduces reliance on medications to manage pain. It also helps us meet our goal of managing pain without prescribing non-specific and addictive opiate medications.
The Queen’s Orthopedic Spine Center is an outpatient department focused on improving quality of life and maximizing function in those with spinal conditions. More information on the Queen’s Orthopedic Spine Center can be found here.
The sooner arthritis is diagnosed the better. Patients dealing with arthritis should avoid smoking, get the right kind of exercise (low-impact, non-repetitive), and stretch regularly. Obesity puts additional strain on joints, so being fit will help reduce the effects of arthritis as well. A range of medications, dietary adjustments, and physical therapy can improve quality of life considerably. We take a holistic and balanced approach to helping patients manage arthritis, with the goal of guiding them toward healthier, happier, more active lives.
The Pain and Spine Center at The Queen’s Medical Center offers comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for managing pain. We create personalized treatment plans that incorporate the entire scope of pain management, including behavioral and rehabilitation services, medication management and interventional procedures.
