The Queen’s Medical Center offers the only hospital-based PET(Positron Emission Tomography) scanning facility in the state of Hawaii called Hamamatsu/Queen’s PET Imaging Center.
In 2020, the Hamamatsu/Queen’s PET Imaging Center, a joint venture between Hamamatsu Photonics, K.K., and QMC, installed a state-of-the-art Siemens Biograph Vision 600 PET/CT scanner. The scanner is a whole body PET/CT tomograph designed for the purposes of oncological, neurological, and cardiac imaging and diagnosis.
This advanced technology features the following enhancements which could lead to better disease detection, treatment, clinical outcomes, and safety for your patients.
