When you choose to volunteer with The Queen’s Health Systems, you’re signing up to make a difference in your community. Our volunteers have been – and remain – an integral part of who we are. As a volunteer, you’re helping us to carry forward the mission of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV to provide in perpetuity health care and healing for the people of Hawai’i.
Being a volunteer at Queen’s Health is sure to bring you joy and a sense of purpose. To make sure that happens, our staff will meet with you to learn more about your expectations and what you’d like to gain from the experience. For example, maybe you’re a student considering a career in health care and would like to see if it’s a good fit. Or, perhaps you’re a retiree who would like to give back. Together, we’ll determine the right path.
As a Queen’s volunteer, you’ll quickly become part of our ‘ohana as you provide invaluable services to patients at any one of our facilities. We’ve had as many as 500 volunteers during the summer and an average of 300 volunteers year-round who donate their time to provide a variety of tasks that include:
Each one of our volunteers brings a unique skill and benefit to our patients and staff and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
If you are ready to make a difference, we’d love to welcome you into our ‘ohana. If you’re interested, please review the requirements below to learn more.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, complete an application form below, or call Volunteer Services, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
