HONOLULU – The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS) is celebrating the grand opening today of a state-of-the-art, team-based primary care clinic at 1215 Hunakai Street adjacent to Kahala Mall.
The Queen’s Health Care Centers’ newest location is on the second level of a two-story, 10,000-square-foot building that also houses Queen’s Island Urgent Care Kahala. The urgent care clinic, which provides treatment for minor emergencies without the need for an appointment, opened on the first floor in August 2020.
“Together, the Queen’s Health Care Centers and Queen’s Island Urgent Care will help to improve the overall health and well-being of the area’s residents,” said Bernadette Merlino, vice president for QHS Ambulatory Services. “Our Queen’s ʻohana is excited to be a part of the East Oʻahu community, and we are committed to providing safe, high-quality and accessible care to our neighbors in Kahala and beyond.”
Providers and staff at the Queen’s Health Care Centers (QHCC) Kahala will address patients’ active health care needs as well as preventive wellness under a multidisciplinary team-based model. Rooms are also equipped with telehealth technology, allowing families to interact with clinicians virtually. Additionally, patients will have access to The Queen’s Medical Center’s network of specialists and services.
