At The Queen’s Health Systems Intensive Care Units, our highly skilled medical team provides specialized medical care for patients who have life-threatening illnesses and injuries who require 24-hour comprehensive care and monitoring.

About Us

If you or a loved one is critically ill, you want the best care possible. In the Intensive Care Units at The Queen’s Medical Center, we are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care for you or your loved one. Our physicians (Intensivists) complete additional fellowship training to specialize in critical care medicine and to provide complex, evidence-based care to our patients. In addition to our Intensivists, specially trained nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other providers are here, working as a team, to focus on our patients in settings designed to provide optimal care.

Intensive Care Units (ICU) at The Queen’s Medical Center include:

If you are visiting a loved one in the ICU, we encourage you to get to know our staff and caregivers. Ask how you may contact them, or how they can contact you when you are away from the medical center. We are here to answer your questions and ease your concerns. Most ICUs welcome visitors every day of the week during all hours. Please keep in mind that we encourage quiet and rest for our patients to support their healing process.

Our Services

At The Queens Medical Center’s ICUs, our highly skilled medical teams provide complex care for patients in the following fields: pulmonary and cardiac disease, surgery and trauma, neurology and neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, ECMO, and transplant.
