Youth Partial Hospitalization Program

The Youth Partial Hospitalization Program, a part of The Queen’s Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Services, provides a five-day-per-week treatment focused on youth with emotional and psychiatric problems who are in need of intensive supervision and treatment. In this program, patients are monitored while provided with daily psychiatric care. Patients learn how to change problematic behavior and thought processes within their everyday environment. Through active, positive behavior, they are able to practice their new skills in the community.

The program provides a range of treatment and support services for children and adolescents, ages 12-17, including:

These services are covered by most insurance companies. Day Treatment Services provides a nutritious lunch and other necessary supplies. Transportation to and from treatment should be provided by the minor’s caregiver.
