Queen’s Cancer Center at The Queen’s Medical Center is the only facility in Hawaii that is accredited by the American College of Radiology for more than 15 years.

Equipment

The Radiation Oncology Department offers an extensive range of advanced technological and collaborative approaches to ensure unsurpassed clinical care. Safe and accurate radiation therapy is provided with state-of-the-art equipment, including:

  • TomoTherapy Hi-ART, an advanced linear accelerator with CT imaging for image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), capable of high precision treatments
  • Elekta Infinity with Agility MLC, the only system in the State that offers 4D-imaging at the treatment machine; capable of imaging tumors that move during respiration immediately prior to treatment for precise alignment
  • Varian 21EX with Millennium MLC
  • Elekta Nucletron Microselectron for high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy;
  • C-RAD Catalyst and Sentinel system for real-time motion monitoring during treatment
  • Philips Big Bore CT Simulator, capable of providing 4D-imaging for accurate tumor localization
  • Advanced array of treatment planning systems, including Philips Pinnacle and RayStation for IMRT, VMAT, and 3D treatment planning
