A brand new emergency room, three times the size of the current ER and loaded with new technology and equipment, will be unveiled at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital on Saturday, January 25, 10:30 am – 2:00 pm.

The new emergency room will expand from the existing 3,300 square feet to over 12,000 square feet. It will house 13 private patient rooms — 11 standard and 2 trauma rooms—as well as a centralized nurses’ station, new ambulance and patient entrances, and a beautiful, spacious new waiting room. The new space is designed to provide a superior quality environment for patients, with private rooms providing more privacy to support a healing environment.

The January 25 open house will feature tours and demonstrations, and the opportunity to meet Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital staff.

The new emergency room will be open for its first patients on Wednesday, January 29.
